Terry Johnson of The Swamp Drivers is the proud papa of a new homemade instrument. Meet The Saranac FendOar Guitar. Impressive to say the least.

What a way to christen a new homemade instrument than by using it to open for The Marshall Tucker Band. That's the way The Swamp Drivers break her in.

Terry says the canoe paddle was given to him after the band played at Saranac over the summer. He took one look and said "I could turn that into an instrument," and that's just what he did. He added Saranac beer caps for the controls, six strings, and she sounds great.
