Memorial Day is more than a day off work, sales, barbeques and the "official" beginning of summer. However, according to a new survey, a large majority of Americans have no clue to what Memorial Day is really all about; a national day of rememberence for the soldiers that died while fighting the nation's wars. According to a new poll by The National WWII Museum 80% of all Americans confess to having "little" or "some" knowledge of Memorial Day. As an American who values his freedom and has a number of military veterans in my family, I find the results of this poll very troubling. Do yourself and your family a favor and take a few minutes to learn more about Memorial Day and how you can honor those who have fallen. Visit The National WWII Museum website and make this Memorial Day extra special.
