The Utica Aud has a new name for the next ten years anyway.

A 10 am press conference revealed the new name for the Utica Auditorium as the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

WIBX reports the Upper Mohawk Valley Auditorium Authority and Adirondack Bank announced the 10-year, multi-million-dollar agreement making the bank a naming partner.

“Adirondack Bank’s commitment to banking local and giving back to our community falls in line with what The Auditorium has stood for since 1959,” said Robert Clark, executive vice president of Adirondack Bank.

The Utica Memorial Auditorium is a 3,860-seat multi-purpose arena but can hold 5,700 fans for concerts. Nicknamed the Aud, it's home arena to our beloved Utica Comets, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.

We think the Aud will still be called the Aud. Do you?
