Yesterday we learned that we may never see Gregg Allman perform live again as he canceled the remainder of his current tour due to health problems. Now we have learned that the Monkees have canceled the remainder of their 45th Anniversary Tour. According to Davey Jones official Facebook page:

"it has been determined that the remainder of The Monkees' 2011 tour has been cancelled.  No reason has been given at this time.  When more information becomes available, it will be posted." Examiner.com
Maybe we should have seen this one coming. Last week the official Monkees tour page was taken down. The tour opened in the UK in May to excellent reviews. The band had been criss-crossing the States since the beginning of June and were set to make a tour stop in Westbury, New York this month.
