It has survived rumors of being haunted, two major fires, and many ownership changes.  However, Beardslee Castle, just east of Little Falls is alive, well, and hosts a variety of events.

Beardslee's is a location you may want to add to your list of cool places to visit here in the Mohawk Valley.  Whether it's for cocktails in the Dungeon Bar & Grill, dinner for two, one of their murder mystery dinner theaters or psychic fairs, you'll experience a real castle that has been around since before the Civil War.

According to their website, the castle was built in 1960 by Augustus Beardslee in the style of an Irish castle.  Craftsmen from Ireland and Switzerland were used in the construction of the beautiful interior.

And if you happen to be looking for that unique location for a wedding, Beardslee Castle also hosts many receptions though out the year.  And who knows, maybe you'll leave with your own ghost story.
