The Stanley Theatre in Utica has announced an upcoming concert appearance of Southern rock legends: The Marshall Tucker Band on Thursday, March 17th at 8 p.m.

Formed in 1972, The Marshall Tucker Band is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. The band's blend of rock, rhythm and blues, jazz, country and gospel helped establish the 'Southern rock' music genre in the early 1970's. The Marshall Tucker Band has recorded and performed continuously for 44 years, led by original member and singer Doug Gray. No strangers to Central New York, this is The Marshall Tucker Band's first ever appearance at The Stanley Theatre in Utica.
