For the first time in 15 years. There was no Kurt or Kyle Busch in the Daytona 500. Kurt Bush is indefinitely suspended and Kyle Busch has a compound fracture on his lower right leg and a broken left foot from Saturday's Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

I don't love or hate the Busch brothers but you must admit they have a lot going on these days.

Kurt Busch is indefinitely suspended and out of appeals. Nascar has issued a statement and here is a portion of it according to Foxsports.com:

Upon hearing tonight's testimony, Bryan Moss, the National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer, made the following decisions: "The National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer upholds the original penalty levied by NASCAR. "The decision of the National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer is final and binding on all parties. "Kurt Busch now has exhausted his appeal options under the NASCAR Rulebook, and the indefinite suspension remains in effect."He will not be allowed to race nor participate in any NASCAR activities until further notice."

Nascar is saying the alleged abuse against former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll more than likely happened and is being taken very seriously (as it should). This dispute happened Sept. 26, 2014, at Dover International Speedway.

This weekend Kyle was in a awful accident during the Xfinity series race Saturday in Daytona.

Kyle Busch has my prayers for a quick recovery. His injuries are probably going to take the season to heal. A compound fracture and broken foot? After watching the video it could have been a lot more than that. I think he is lucky to be alive.
