After being closed for almost a year, the Buffalo Head restaurant in Forestport may be re-opening in November.

Just before the snowmobiling season, the local eatery unexpectedly closed. Rumors were it would open again in the Spring but the doors remained closed.

The restaurant was put up for sale and now may have new owners.

Nicholas Polce, of Gateway Properties tells WKTV, "The new owners are coming in. The buyers are going to return the restaurant to the way it used to be, famous for food and it'll be based on fresh food and it's a great snowmobile destination."

Will the Buffalo Head restaurant be the same as before they closed? Polce says "The new owners are local, it's a family and they are already involved in the restaurant business so they understand it and they remember the way the Buffalo Head used to run."

Plans are open the Buffalo Head doors around November 1st.
