Register Your Team For The 3 Mile Boilermaker Walk

Looking to take part in Boilermaker weekend but not run? How does walking sound? You can now register you and your team for the 2016 3-Mile Boilermaker Walk.

The walk will take place Saturday, July 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleecker Street in Utica. Registration fee is $15 per person online until June 22 and $20 during race weekend. To register and for information, Click Here.

New this year is the team feature. This was put in place by popular demand. All teams must register by June 22 to be eligible. Teams have a five-person minimum. The team with the most registered walkers will win a plaque and have their team name engraved on a trophy that will be displayed at the Boilermaker offices. The winning team will be honored at the walk picnic after the walk.

Proceeds from this years walk will go to “Footsteps for Finley,” a fundraising program to support Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD) research. Finley Sanchez is 4 years old. He was born with CMD, a disease that attacks the muscular system. At present there is no cure. Each and every day Finley's family shows off how he's just like any other boy on Facebook. Your Facebook newsfeed is filled with photos, and of course space adventures, when you follow Finley and family.

There is plenty of entertainment along the way and a post-walk celebration that includes food and drink.
