Put a team together or plunge solo, it's Freezin' for a Reason in Lake George to support the Special Olympics.

On Saturday, November 17 take a dip in Lake George to help support local Special Olympic athletes.

Event organizers have set a goal of just over $60,000.

There is a $25 minimum donation required per person, but of course you can donate as much as you want and putting a team together makes that much easier. Plus, who wants to take a polar plunge alone?

Registration for the plunge begins at 9:30 a.m. at Shepherds Park Beach in Lake George and the plunging begins at noon.

The night before(Friday, 11/16) you can join all the other plungers at a pre-plunge party at the Lake George Beach Club that includes live music, food and two free drink tickets for each registered plunger over 21.

You'll also be able to pre-register at the party and skip the line the next morning.
