This weeks 'Wine a Little Wednesday' Chardonnay comes to us from sunny, California, considered by many winemakers as the perfect setting for growing Chardonnay grapes.
The true winemakers like James Ewart says one of the best ways to preserve the balance of acidity is to get the grapes to the winery quickly. "This is a San Bernabe, wine, and the winery is right here", he explains. "I can pick on the riper side, knowing I'll be able too bring it to the winery quickly while it's still cool".
The Kim Crawford line was born in 1996 in a small house in Auckland, New Zealand. After 4 years the wine makers moved into a state of the art winery and began exporting to the United States. Today the Kim Crawford wines are number 1 in New Zealand
Besides turning out some great music, the band Train has now branched out into producing and selling wine, reds and whites. In this week's 'Wine a Little Wednesday,' we focus on the Cabernet Sauvignon.
