At 96.1 The Eagle, we want to say a very sincere thank you to our Veterans and enlisted men and women from Central New York who sacrifice so much for all of us.

There is not much time left to sponsor your flag to honor your veteran! The Good News Center is selling flag sponsorships to put up along the parkway. The money raised will be given to our heroes and their families. The flags that have already been sponsored are currently on display along the parkway in Utica and they look amazing.

One of the most important things for a soldier deployed overseas is constant contact and communication with their family and loved ones. It may be the only relief they have from the stress and trauma of being in combat or in difficult situations. That is why Senator Joe Griffo and AT&T are teaming up with "Cell Phones for Soldiers."

It’s Veteran’s Day, so what does that mean?  Free meals at certain establishments?  A discount for goods at local stores?  Jump on to Facebook and thank all the Veterans that you know, for their service? I as a veteran have been thanked many many times...

Tuesday is Veterans Day, so President Obama made sure to recognize all their efforts in his most recent weekly address.

We at 96.1 WODZ salute veterans and those serving in our military today on the observance of Veterans' Day. We thank you for your service; many of whom have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. As today is a federal holiday, there are a number of closings today.

Veterans Day is a time we thank those who sacrificed so much for our freedom. Many different restaurants thank Veterans on this day by offering them free meals. Here's a list of a few that are offering this perk locally in Utica and Rome.

Bruce Springsteen leads the lineup for tonight's "Concert For Valor," a Veterans Day event recognizing military members and their families. Guess what? You're able to watch this amazing concert for free. There are two different ways.

Tuesday, November 11th is Veterans' Day, and once again MVCC is holding information sessions at its Utica campus on Sherman Drive. If you have a high school student or if you have college in your future, you might want to attend this event.

Baskin-Robbins is honoring our country's veterans with their new flavor of the month. First Class Camouflage has Chocolate, salty caramel, and cake flavored ice creams, blended together. A dime from every scoop sold on Veteran's Day, November 11th will be donated to the USO.
