Neil Young's recent four-night solo stand at New York's Carnegie Hall received glowing reviews from all who were fortunate enough to see it. Now, thanks to several fans and their camera phones, everybody can see one of those shows in its entirety for themselves.
Unlike Bob Dylan's similarly themed 'Bootleg Series,' the various volumes in Neil Young's 'Archives' haven't stretched out much. Aside from 2009's massive early-career box set and a couple of later concert documents, the albums in Young's ongoing series mostly have been live shows from the first few years of his solo period.
Call it luck or great planning. All four members of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young will be together again on Oct. 26-27 for the Bridge School Benefit Concert in Mountain View, Calif. The show will no doubt whet the appetite of fans of the band, especially those anticipating a 40th anniversary tour in 2014.
Crazy Horse guitarist Frank 'Poncho' Sampedro's broken hand is to blame for the four additional tour dates cancelled on Neil Young's itinerary. Today the group announced they're pulling out of all shows through Sept. 7.
