We're just a couple of weeks away from the unveiling of 'Transcendence,' Wally Pfister's directorial debut, and if you're not excited enough about it, Warner Bros. has just released six -- count 'em, six! -- clips from the new sci-fi film. We have officially reached peak promotion.

Though covering much of the same ground as the first one, the latest 'Transcendence' trailer plays up the role of the terrorists (headed by Kate Mara) who are looking to stop people like Johnny Depp from achieving the singularity. It seems as thought it's meant to show that this science-fiction film is going to have action alongside its heady ideas.

The first trailer for 'Transcendence' has landed -- which stars Johnny Depp and is directed by Wally Pfister -- and it's familiar but fascinating. The film is a thriller about the possible dangers of the singularity, or at least the singularity fronted by Johnny Depp.

When Edgar Wright's 'Ant-Man' shuffled from November to July 2015 yesterday, there was a murmur it might either be to replace something or could cause a release date shuffle. The former appears to be the case as 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' is now moving to summer 2016.

Ok, now here’s my idea of a class act.  Johnny Depp, you’ve seen him in all kinds of movies from Edward Scissorhands, to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

It was only recently announced that Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' hired a writer and  is definitely moving forward, and now the powers that be have confirmed a release date for the latest installment.

Even though the fourth film in the franchise, 'Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,' was the lowest grossing of the franchise domestically, that film - boosted by 3D - managed to make over a billion dollars worldwide. So that a writer has been hired to write 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' should be no surprise.

Surely one of the great joys of being Paul McCartney is knowing that for any project you undertake, you can work with whoever you want. After all, who wouldn’t want to work with a member of rock royalty? Well, besides Johnny Rotten, of course, but we don’t assume he and McCartney are best mates, anyway.

I am a fan of Jack Sparrow, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow and I can't wait for the new installment of the Pirates of Caribbean saga On Stranger Tides. I have enjoyed each Pirates movie and expect I will enjoy this one as well. I don't care what the critics says, because they get paid to be critical, I enjoy "fun" movies...
