From his days with Deep Purple and Rainbow to his current gig fronting Blackmore's Night, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has always forged his own trail. It's something, as he recently explained during a Russian television interview, he attributes to his fondness for daydreaming.

The guys in Deep Purple are celebrating their 45th anniversary with another album and the latest round of tour dates. But if Metallica's Lars Ulrich had anything to say about it, they'd also have a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse recently chatted with Something Else with respect to  the group's new album 'NOW What?!' as well as his place in Deep Purple's history.

Prototypical British heavy rockers Deep Purple are set to release a new album titled 'NOW What?!' on April 30, and now the group have revealed the track listing and cover art for the hotly-anticipated disc.

It's been an up-and-down year between Deep Purple fans and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- the band was finally nominated for induction into the Hall, but didn't make it in. Keyboard player Don Airey seems to be taking it all in stride, though; as he put it during a recent interview, "I don't think the band really care, actually."

Deep Purple are set to release their new album, ‘NOW What?!’ on April 30. The first tracks, a double A-sided single of 'All the Time in the World' and 'Hell to Pay,' will be available March 29. However, samples of both songs, and two live cuts, are currently streaming online.

They might not be making it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just yet, but that's not stopping Deep Purple from moving forward with new music. The legendary British rockers will release a new album titled 'NOW What?!' on April 30 in North America via earMUSIC. Fans will get their first taste of the new music from a double A-side single released on March 29.

Once again, Deep Purple fans are left with more questions than answers following the release of a preview clip for the band's upcoming album, which is due this April.

Last month, we told you that Deep Purple will be reissuing 10 albums from their catalog throughout 2013. The first of which, 'Live in Paris 1975,' is due to hit stores on Jan. 29. The second, 'Slaves and Masters,' will be released a week later, on Feb. 5.

Although they're considered to be one of the definitive bands for head-exploring stoners, Deep Purple weren't really ones to partake in the sweet leaf, according to lead singer Ian Gillan. In a new interview, he reveals that his personal discovery of marijuana didn't begin until he was well into his career.
