UPDATE: 04/29/2016  4:50am  The AMBER Alert issued last night in Frankfort, New York has been cancelled.  Authorities say the missing children have been found.  No other information is available at this time.

Original Story:

An AMBER Alert has been issued following a suspected child abduction in the Village of Frankfort, New York.

New York State Police and the Frankfort Police Department have identified the two suspects as 27-year-old Alicia Seelbach and 25-year-old Jordan Lints.

Alicia Seelbach is described by police as a white female standing 5'4" tall weighing 115 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Jordan Lints is described by police as a black male with black hair and brown eyes.  He is approximately 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 203 pounds.

The alleged abduction took place near West Main Street in Frankfort at approximately 2:21pm on April 22, 2016.  Authorities say they believe that the children may be in imminent danger because of the events leading up to the children's disappearance.

New York State Police say that the Herkimer County Department of Social Services filed a petition to have the custodial rights of Alicia Seelbach suspended.  According to a written release, the NYSP says that "(prior) to Social Services being able to secure the two children from the mother, Alicia L. Seelbach age 27, she left a residence in the Village of Frankfort with them.  Since this time they have not been seen."  Seelbach may be with the elder Jordan Lints.

Police say they need to verify the safety and welfare of the children and their mother.  "There are familial ties to Herkimer County and the City of Utica, and we are asking for the public’s assistance in locating them."

The children are:

  • Jordan D. Lints is approximately one year and nine months old with brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Mariah Seelbach is approximately three years old with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Village of Frankfort Police Department at: (866) NYS-AMBER, New York State Police at: (315) 866.7111,  or 911.
