It's not every day that a celebrity shows up to a NYS College to try to break a world record, but that's just what Al Roker did on Friday.

As part of the Today Show's 'Storming Into The Madness College Tour,' Roker brought his ever-popular 'Rokerthon 3' to his Alma Matter SUNY Oswego.

The goal was to break the current Guinness world record of 'longest conga line on ice,' with more than 353 skaters.

At just after 7 a.m. this morning it was confirmed. The Oswego Lakers and Al Roker set the new world record with 593 students and faculty skating on the ice at the Marano Campus Center Arena.

You can see a clip of all the fun in the video above.

Dozens of colleges attempted to get Roker to bring 'Rokerthon 3' to their campus, including Utica College.

Maybe next year Pioneers.
