A coffee franchise is donating its unsold food to people in need.Instead of tossing unsold perishables, Starbucks will donate unsold ready-to-eat meals to food banks.

In partnership with Starbucks' FoodShare, Feeding America and the Food Donation Connection will receive the product.

According to a written release from the company, Starbucks will begin donating the meals from all of its 7,600 company-operated stores in the United States.
