One chilly, Halloween like day in Central New York, we were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of an eerie, yet strikingly beautiful Utica Marsh.

If you're not looking for it, it's easy to miss the Marsh. It's still there however, in all it's mysterious glory. According to the Observer Dispatch:

The Utica Marsh is an urban wetland unlike nearly any other, sandwiched between the Mohawk River and the Erie Canal. It is a diverse habitat that is home to a variety of plants and animals across its 213 acres of wetlands, wet meadows and open water pools.

We were able to snap a few "unfiltered" photos of one of Utica's most intriguing places.
