My dad has two jars of marbles in his office, one with marbles in it representing how many weeks of his life have been spent and another representing how many weeks are left. It's a sobering way to think about how we spend our time, especially when there are more marbles in the first container. Here's a neat video with the same sort of concept except they are jelly beans, each representing a single day of your life. Long story short, we each only have nearly 3,000 days in our lifetime that are really our own out of the roughly 29,000 (or 79-ish years) we were born with (WOW!)
