Well, Florida is at it again, check this out…

Although not heavily advertised, if a parent has the need to discipline their child with a good old fashioned butt whooping, they can actually have a police chaperone to make sure it’s all legal and the child is not abused.

Here come the “spankings don’t work” and “psychological scars” cries.  If your child is spanked in the presence of a police officer, this may definitely give them something to discuss with their therapist later.

Why is this in the news? Well, a man who was upset that his daughter got into an argument with her sister earlier this week couldn't find any other way to get the girl to learn what she'd done was wrong without raising a hand to her. But he also didn't want to go to jail, so he called up a deputy who came over, watched the whole thing, determined it was all good and headed on out to do some more policing.

I’m thinking that if you feel like something you are doing may cause legal action against you, then it probably isn’t a good idea, what do you think?

The Sheriff has confirmed that officers do, in fact, watch spankings on slow days, however they definitely don’t advertise that they do.
