The Shaft reboot/sequel/rebooquel Son of Shaft has been filming for a few weeks now, and we have our first look at how Samuel L. Jackson, Jessie T. Usher and Richard Roundtree will look as three generations of men named John Shaft who fight crime. Answer: they look fantastic.

Fashion designer Aleks Musika posted a photo of the three Shafts in action on his Instagram to show off their hot new looks — well, look, since they’re all wearing the exact same thing. You’ve got the signature long trench coat of Shaft's past, except this time it’s in a nice rust red and a fabric that looks like suede. Or some sort of crushed velvet? I have no idea. It looks amazing.

Musika is a designer of fashion label Musika Frere, which specializes in high-quality menswear made with fabrics that have interesting and unusual patterns and textures and has attracted clientele from Michael B. Jordan to Beyoncé. Musika doing the costume design for this movie means that it might even look more stylish and cool than its predecessors, though nothing can match that long leather jacket from the 1971 movie.

Son of Shaft has been filming for about three weeks under director Tim Story, and will land on Netflix two weeks after New Line releases the movie in the U.S. on June 14, 2019. Can you dig it?
