New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is turning 40 and Tom's teammates are reflecting on the five-time Super Bowl champ's career and competitive spirit with favorite stories you wouldn't hear unless you were part of the team or knew the players.

I must admit I think Tom Brady is, bar none the best quarter back to play in the NFL. I am sure there are several people here at the radio station that think I'm one brick short of a full load. Here's a great story San Francisco 49's Brian Hoyer, who was a backup Quarter back for Tom Brady from 2009 to 2011 shared with Syracuse.com.

Apparently, the Patriots played the Bills and couldn't make the trip home after the game as they usually do, due to bad weather and spent the night in Rochester. Hoyer tells Syracuse.com:

"The team decided they would go out to dinner together. The whole team was there at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. It turns into a beer-chugging contest; you have linemen like Julian Edelman all thinking they're going to win. Then someone says, "I heard Tom is really great at chugging a beer." We don't usually get to experience him like this, but we finally coax him into doing it. He starts chugging and let me tell you; you couldn't have poured the beer faster into a glass. It was unbelievable."

Former Patriots offensive lineman Ross Tucker shared part of the same story back in 2014 by adding Brady also paid for his check. It's not like he cant afford it with his NFL salary, plus he and wife Gisele just put down $20 million for an apartment in NYC, according to Fox Sports. So I'm sure he could afford a dinner bill.

This is just the kind of thing that sports fans like. It makes the superstars just ordinary people like you and me. Except for Tom Brady, he is just on another level

GO PATRIOTS!
