It was in the 80's just a few days ago, but some places here in Upstate New York could see snow before the weekend is over.  According to the National Weather Service, there is a possibility of snow in some areas of the southern Adirondacks Saturday night into Sunday.

The forecast says an inch or even a few inches could fall overnight in the higher elevations, in the tug hill area, northern Oneida County and in parts of the Adirondack Mountains.  The weather service also says there is the possibility of very strong winds in the upstate area on Sunday.

I can remember that in the early 1990's we had a heavy snowfall here in the Mohawk Valley one week before Halloween.  After the warmer than average fall season we've had, that possibility seems almost impossible for this year.

On Tuesday and Wednesday we were wearing shorts and T-shirts.  Less than a week later it could be boots and heavy coats.
