Six firefighters have died battling the wildfires in California.

Firefighters are slowly making headway against more than a dozen blazes that continue to scorch California says WNPR. The deadly fire has burned 295,970 acres, putting it on track to become the state's first single 3300,000-acre fire.

Smoke from these deadly wildfires is reaching central New York as you can see below.
