Daryl's House is a restaurant and live music club in the small upstate New York town of Pawling, not far from Poughkeepsie.  It's owned by Daryl Hall of the band Hall and Oates.  The star opened the club a few years ago after he came up with an idea for a reality TV show.  It soon became the venue where the MTV Network's show "Daryl's House" was filmed.

Now, Daryl's House is hoping to build an outdoor stage for summer concerts.  But the Town of Pawling is hoping to stop the expansion, and even reduce the restaurant's current capacity.  The town's supervisor told the Poughkeepsie Journal that the club's management regularly ignores town codes, and plans to lower the clubs standing capacity.

Saying that the change will force the venue out of business, Daryl's House has filed a lawsuit against the town.  According to darlylshouseclub.com, the building was purchased by the rock star in 2010, and then remodeled to look much like his own 1770's home.
