I recently took a trip to a little place called Sharon Springs. Even though it was a very, very cold day, I still walked up and down Main Street. I visited a wonderful cafe called Black Cat Cafe & Bakery where I had a vegan brownie and a cup of coffee. I also stopped into a few gift shops, like Cobbler and Company. My main reason for going to Sharon Springs was to find interesting things to photograph. What caught my attention was the architecture of the old buildings, especially the windows and doors. So, here are a few photos from my trip as part of my photo series Zach's Weekly Snaps. This week's theme--Sharon Springs, NY.

Let me just point out that I find beauty in old, and in many cases, rundown buildings. That is the style of photography I find to be the most interesting and captivating--it tends to tell a story. The following photos are not in any way a negative depiction of the village. I had a wonderful time in Sharon Springs. I will definitely be visiting again when the temperatures warm up.

For those interested, I took these pictures with an Olympus OM-D E-M5. Enjoy!
