Scary and severe storms hit our area this past weekend, and we're still reeling from the destruction.

Pine Lake Campground had a severe storm that injured 8 people, 2 seriously when it ripped through Saturday and the thought of another round of weather like that is just too much. We asked Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Rachel Witter to tell us what could happen and what's exaggerated as far as tomorrow's weather forecast.

When asked about tornadoes tomorrow, she said

"No, that's hype. We're barely in the 'slight risk' for severe storms tomorrow."

This is a look at the severe thunderstorm risk for tomorrow from the National Weather Service out of Binghamton.

Rachel Witter says:

Looks like the slight risk of t-storms shifted north this afternoon for tomorrow, so a threat is there for Tuesday.

Here is a good recap of everything.

Don't focus on the tornado part. It is there as generic wording for slight risks, not specific to each area. If you look at the bottom, you'll see tornado threat is very low.

Keep it tuned to this station for up to the minute weather info from Rachel Witter, Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist.
