Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Several Upstate NY Counties

If your headed outside late this afternoon and evening it may be wise for you to keep your eye to the sky. The National Weather Service office out of Binghamton has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.  The outlook is advising of strong to severe thunderstorms and heavy rain for the remainder of this afternoon and tonight.

Several upstate counties in our area are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 8pm.. They include -

• Oneida
• Herkimer
• Madison
• Hamilton
• Fulton
• Otsego
• Broome
• Chenango

Flood advisories are also in effect for Herkimer, Oneida, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben and Yates.
