Saratoga Springs Dad Pens Epic Late Note For Daughter After Springsteen Show

Writing a note explaining why your child is late for school is nothing new for parents, but one parent's letter tops all others. Patrick Pipino of Saratoga Springs blames his daughter's tardiness on Bruce Springsteen.

Pipino took his family to see The Boss in Albany. "Isabelle was lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen in Albany and darned if he didn't play for three and a half hours. This may not seem like a good excuse, but have you ever wondered how many kids would be late or miss school outright if God were to suddenly appear? It's something like that," he wrote.

Pipino tells ABC News his two girls, Isabelle and Sarah, are huge Boss fans.

"They both love Bruce Springsteen, and have ever since the older one was only 4 years old. Isabelle would be singing from the back seat and if I had something else on, she would say, 'Dad, can we listen to Springsteen?' Sometimes she would even say, 'Can we listen to old Springsteen?'"

Pipino says his wife is a teacher in the school district and "she was mortified by not knowing what her betrothed did."
