How would you like to make a difference in the Rome Community? Now's your chance to be a part of the Rome Police Department

If you want to be a part of positive change in Rome, then attend the informal session on upcoming career opportunities on August 25th, 6 PM at 620 North Washington Street in Rome.

Sargent Dave Collins from the Rome Police Department is heading up the hiring recruitment. He tells us they currently have 74 police officers and two civilians providing law enforcement services to the citizens of the city of Rome NY.

We're looking to assemble a wide variety of people who would like to make a difference in the Rome Community. Women and minorities are highly encouraged to attend this session as well as those who speak fluent Spanish. We encourage everyone who possesses unique skills and the ability to create positive change to take the Civil Service Exam in November.

Employment with the Rome Police Department is governed by a competitive examination which is administered by the Rome Civil Service Commission. A standard application form can be obtained from the civil service commission at Rome City Hall, 198 North Washington Street, Rome, NY. The applicant should be sure that every question is answered and that the application is complete in all respects.
