Rock The Canal This Weekend [VIDEO]

The 3rd Annual Rock The Canal weekend is here! Tucked along the canal in Herkimer is Gems Along The Mohawk, a visitors center with shopping, dining and sightseeing cruises.  In the shops, you'll always find products from local merchants, unique gifts and books from area authors.  There's also the Waterfront Grille, which features indoor and waterside dining along the canal serving up local favorites.  And finally, Erie Canal Cruises offers historical, sightseeing and party cruises.

But this weekend it really comes alive!  Activities start on Thursday, June 18 at 3pm, with the Genesis Group presenting the 2015 Gems of Distinction awards.  On Friday, Erie Canal Cruises will be offering sightseeing cruises at 1pm and 3pm.  Friday night, there's a theme party cruise - "Prohibition Ends" party on the canal!

Saturday, there will be a whole series of events, including meet and greet with the Herkimer Diamond Dawgs.

Saturday ends with a concert featuring Carlton Boone and Company in the Waterfront Amphitheater at 7:30, followed by a spectacular waterfront fireworks display!
