Officer Kevin Crossley was killed in an on-duty two-car accident on Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro just before 8 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Several roads will be closed in Utica today for his funeral.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), in coordination with the New York State Police and the Utica Police Department, has issued the following travel advisory for motorists in the City of Utica, Oneida County due to the funeral services for Whitesboro Police Officer Kevin Crossley at the at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

The following ramps and roads will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m:

  • Rte 5S Oriskany Street (east and westbound) between Genesse and Schuyler Streets.
  • Oriskany Street eastbound on-ramp to Route 5/8/12 south.
  • Rte 12 south off-ramp to Downtown/Oriskany Street east.
  • State Street on-ramp to Downtown/Oriskany Street east.

 

According to WKTV: The funeral service for Officer Crossley will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, with a law enforcement walk-through held before the service at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.
