Retro TV- Family Ties

Family Ties was a show about a couple who were ardently left wing political activists in the 60s facing the problems of raising a family with children who have strongly conservative views.An episode set to air just before the 1988 election featured a scene showing Alex's bedroom full of George Bush campaign posters. NBC pulled the scene feeling it could be viewed as overtly political and potentially violated equal time laws.
