Remember when a lot of the cable stations in the 80s, like MTV used to play music?  It’s true, they did, once upon a many many moons ago.

There used to be a show on USA called ‘Night Flight’, which could be seen on Friday and Saturday nights from midnight to 6 am.  Yes, I remember it well because it was what I was watching since my curfew was typically midnight in the late 80s. The show ran from 1981 until 1988, and it featured some videos from many not-so-heard-of bands, mostly alternative and underground stuff.  It also featured live concerts and some cult cinema.

Were you a fan?  If so, check it out, it appears to be back, but not on television, or MTV for that matter.  According to brooklynvegan.com, you can actually find it as a streaming service and the price is really not too shabby if this is really your cup of tea.  A mere 2.99 a month will get you a subscription, or 29.99 for a year.

So are these new episodes?  Nope, mostly what you will get is original uncut programming of the show from the 80s, but you also get access to an extensive library from their partner, Music Video Distributors.

So where can I get it?  Well, online of course, but it can be accessed from Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast and Smart TVs as well.

So if you are interested in checking this out, head on over to take a look.  Some of the footage is also available on Youtube.  Enjoy!
