The America Cancer Society needs volunteers for this years annual Relay For Life Utica event on June 13 and 14 at MVCC.

The Relay For Life program is a community-based event where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path.  Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times and participates in raising funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to finish the fight against cancer.  Four million people participated in more than 6,000 events worldwide last year.

“The Relay For Life movement is all about our community uniting to finish the fight against cancer,” said Robert Elinskas, Specialist, Relay For Life.  “We relay on the support of volunteers to help make the event a success.”

Volunteers assist in each local event. It's a fun and satisfying experience. If you would like to join the Relay For Life of Utica event as a volunteer or team participant, visit us online at relayforlife.org/utica,ny or contact Robert Elinskas at 315-724-8126 or Robert.Elinskas@cancer.org.
