The American Cancer Society needs your help. So grab some friends and join us for a Relay For Life kickoff.

I am one of those very lucky people that discovered a melanoma early stage 1 not once but twice. Early detection is a must with skin cancer especially with melanoma. Now I'm checked every 6 months without fail.

Cancer touches more families than you realize. Chances are you know someone in your family or in your circle of friends that have been touched by cancer in some form.

There is a special event I hope you will attend and bring some friends as well. It's a Relay For Life kickoff event on March 15th at 7pm at the Main Street Tavern, 2298 Dewing Ave, Clayville, New York. You and your friends will learn how you can help the American Cancer Society save more lives from cancer. The event is free and open to the public.

If you've never been to a kickoff then let me tell you about what you'll hear and see. The Relay For Life movement is the world's largest fundraising event to save lives from cancer. Around the globe we celebrate people who have battled cancer and remember loved ones lost and take action for lifesaving change. You will have the opportunity to join other team members during a Relay For Life event this June by taking turns running or walking around a track or path. Teams are encouraged to work on fundraising leading up to the event being held from 10am to Midnight, on June 10, 2017, at Paris Town Park.

You can help make a difference, so get your friends together and join us for the kickoff in the Sauquoit Valley on March 15th, 2017  at the Main Street Tavern starting at 7pm

...and don't forget, make sun block part of your life.
