Record Setting Heat In CNY Leaves Air Conditioners In Short Supply

The current round of high temperatures in Central New York has led many to the stores to find a new air conditioner only to find that almost all the shelves are empty.

If you're looking for a portable air conditioner you're really out of luck. Wal-mart, Dave Hayes, Home Depot, Lowes all report portable air conditioners are completely sold out and if you order online it could take up to a week just to get one delivered to the store for pick up.

In-window air conditioners are in very short supply and most that are left on the shelves are the smaller units. Stores are reporting that they won't be back up to regular supply levels until this weekend at the earliest and only at a few of our local stores.

Something to keep in mind is this kind of weather and temperatures usually comes in later in July and the first two weeks of August. You'll still need to get a new unit.
