The classic movie from the eighties, featuring a young boy in the real world who is bullied at school and finds solace in a book called "The Neverending Story".

Bastian goes on a journey to Fantasia where he befriends a luck dragon and finds himself having to choose between the real world and fantasy world.  What a great movie, huh?

What could make it better?  Or should I say "who" could make it better?  How about Peter Jackson?  That's right, the director of "The Hobbit" trilogy and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.  Even better, Elijah Wood will be playing Bastian.

Peter Jackson said: " I am very excited to get away from Middle Earth if only for a little while. At first I was a bit cautious about returning to fantasy but I read the book and fell in love with it. I was already a fan of the film. Especially the Limahl song [sings] ‘NeverEnding Story, do-de-do-de-de-do-de-de-do!’"

Oh yeah, you thought that it would maybe be a trilogy like the other Peter Jackson films?  Oh not, not this time.  The plan is 16 films over the next 20 years!  Wow, talk about job security.
