Trailing the dangerous Penguins offense 3-1 in the series and headed back to Pittsburgh, no one really thought the Rangers had a chance. But, Tuesday night's Game 7 win on the road in Pennsylvania capped a three-game rally that is sending New York back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in three seasons.

By a final of 2-1, the Rangers completed an improbable series comeback and may have the locker room more united that ever before. The sad loss of Martin St Louis' mother prompted the sudden turnaround, as noted by Rangers' goalie Henrik Lundqvist after the game - his fifth straight Game 7 win in net.

Lundy said the team was able to come together after Marty St Louis' loss. Other teammates noted his leadership, life and love for hockey.

After being shutout in Games 2 and 3, then losing 4-2 in Game 4 the Rangers went on to outscore the Penguins 10-3 over the final three games of the series.

St Louis and Derek Stepan assisted Brad Richards on a power play goal in the second period which proved to be the game winner.Lundqvist stopped 35 of 36 shots on goal.

The Rangers not await the winner of Montreal and Boston, who'll play a decisive Game 7 on Wednesday.
