Protect Your Credit/Debit Cards

The weather is getting nicer and the thieves are coming up with innovative ways to rip you off.    

The latest and greatest thing lately, is that people are taking pictures of your credit card.  Think about it, not hard to do with how advanced smart phone cameras are these days.

You’re in the checkout line, getting ready to pay for your purchases with your debit/credit card and the guy behind you secretly takes a picture of your card and the next thing you know, you wind up seeing some unauthorized purchases on your statement.  They can even steal your pin with that same phone camera.  All they have to do is take a video of you punching in your pin and they have your pin number.  Kind of scary, huh?

Just a reminder for everyone out there to protect your information.  Don’t be afraid to keep your card covered as much as you can when you have it out of your wallet or purse.  Believe it or not, thieves are getting sneakier and sneakier.
