UPDATE: 02/12/2014 10:47am Power has been restored to customers affected by a power outage earlier this morning.

A spokesperson for National Grid says that the outage was caused by a downed wire that was reported at approximately 8:40am along the North South Arterial in Utica.

Power was restored by 10:20am to customers after crews switched power over to another line for more than four hundred customers.

Crews are still on the scene working to repair the wires.

A power outage is being reporting in parts of Utica this morning.

An estimated four hundred customers are affected.  National Grid says that crews are working to restore power.

National Grid expects to have power restored by 11:30am.
