Phil Spector’s attorneys are trying to overturn his murder conviction on the basis that the judge made mistakes in his trial. Spector’s attorneys have argued to the California 2nd District Court of Appeal that the judge made judicial errors in Spector’s trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003. The judges on the appeal panel have 90 days to decide whether Spector should have a new trial. If he gets one, it will be his third. His first ended in mistrial, and the second resulted in conviction, with Spector serving 19 years to life in prison.
