That Time Peter Dinklage Dropped Rhymes for Rush
Those tuning into the Super Bowl Sunday likely caught Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage completely en fuego rapidly lip synching through Busta Rhymes' verse on Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now." The incendiary performance was followed by a cool as ice run through of Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On" by Morgan Freeman, as the two celebs received raves while pimping Doritos Blaze and Mtn Dew Ice for a worldwide viewing audience. But this wasn't Dinklage's first go-round as a lip-sync-ing MC. Just a few years back, he mimed dropping some rhymes for Rush, whose Geddy Lee is somewhat easier to follow along with than Busta.
During the band's 2015 tour, Geddy Lee and the boys through the power of a video screen delivered the rap breakdown in "Roll the Bones" that included a number of celebrity rappers getting in on the fun. Among those sharing their admiration for Rush through the power of rap include I Love You Man co-stars Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, Jay Baruchel, the Trailer Park Boys, Tom Morello, Les Claypool, Chad Smith and yes, Peter Dinklage. Watch in the video above as Dinklage "kicks some gluteus max," as he and the other celebrity rappers bring it for fans attending the Rush show.
