Rock band Pearl Jam posted good thoughts to former NBA all-star Mookie Blaylock online on Saturday after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Atlanta on Friday. An early '90's incarnation of Pearl Jam was named Mookie Blaylock as a result of the band's members being devoted NBA fans.

Initial reports after the crash stated that Blaylock, 46, had been placed on life support. His condition was upgraded to guarded but critical on Saturday. A stylized photo of Blaylock appeared on Pearl Jam's Instagram profile late Friday/early Saturday with the message: "Sending good thoughts to Mookie."

Police say Blaylock's SUV crossed a highway median and crashed head-on into a van carrying two people in Jonesboro, Ga. on Friday night. The van's passenger, 43-year-old Monica Murphy, died. Her husband Frankie Murphy, the driver of the van, suffered a broken ankle. Police are still investigating what caused Blaylock's vehicle to cross the median.
