40 years of rock n' roll have taken their toll on the voice of Kiss frontman Paul Stanley. Stanley had surgery to address a "recurring vocal cord issues". According to Stanley's publicist, the 59-year-old singer is expected to make a "swift and complete" recovery from the procedure. The guitarist/vocalist downplayed the seriousness of the surgery:

"I hold myself to a higher standard than others do," he said. "With that in mind, I wanted to remedy a few minor issues that come with 40 years of preaching rock n' roll." - Billboard.com

Kiss has been a part of the rock n' roll landscape for four decades and are busy putting together their 20th album which is due out next year. A world tour is sure to follow.
