Tickets go on sale this week for the sixth annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco, Calif. The three-day music and gourmet food event has introduced Paul McCartney as a headliner for the Aug 9-11 event at Golden Gate Park. Dozens of other artists from all genres of music are also on the official lineup card.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nine Inch Nails are two other top of the bill performers. Other classic rock acts include Hall and Oates. A full schedule of when each performer will take the stage is not yet available at the festival's official website. Dawes, Gary Clark Jr., Vampire Weekend and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are amongst the over 60 bands signed on.

The San Francisco date is McCartney's latest scheduled U.S. stop in 2013. Last week he announced seven shows east of the Rocky Mountains, beginning with a May 18 date in Orlando, Fla. Since then, additional shows have been announced in Milwaukee, Wisc. (July 16) and Indianapolis, Ind. (July 14), as well as second shows in Tulsa, Okla., Austin, Texas and Orlando.

In between the two stretches he'll play gigs in Poland, Italy and Austria. The Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival is as known as much for the music as for the gourmet food. In 2012 over 200 menu items were available, in addition to 30 California craft brews.
