Oneida City School District Responds To Threat

The Oneida City School District is responding to a potential threatening statement about Oneida High School that was posted on the social media platform, Snapchat this morning.

Officials say the rumored threat was made by the same student that was the cause of a lockdown and shelter in place at the high school within the last two weeks.

The administration contacted law enforcement and were advised there was no credibility to the rumors.

The School District says it continues to remain in constant contact with the Oneida Police Department and will notify parents and community members as they get additional information

Classes at the high school proceeded as normal today with members of the Oneida PD on campus.
