Well, after a short run as Colonel Sanders, Darrell Hammond is out, and another SNL star is in! Hammond is being replaced by comedian Norm MacDonald in the new KFC commercials depicting the iconic fast-food restaurant founder. Many believe the move from Hammond to MacDonald was due to the fact he was too darn creepy, but that's not the case. According to a statement from KFC's Chief Marketing Officer for the US given to Fortune Magazine, the reason was a lot simpler than that.

“Other than not quite looking like him, his voice being different, and his inability to cook the world’s best chicken, we thought Norm was the perfect choice to play the Real Colonel. I think the fans will agree.”

- Kevin Hochman

Although this was the "official reason" the switch was made, I will stick true to the fact that I believe Darrell Hammond's colonel was way to creepy! The way they justified the replacement of the creepier Colonel Sanders, is by turning him into an "imposter."
