The New York State Chinese Lantern Festival is returning to the State Fairgrounds this summer. The festival will include all-new lighted lantern displays, including flowers, peacocks, cranes, butterflies, and archways

The Lantern displays are just the beginning as there will be two 30-minute live performances each night featuring Chinese dancers, acrobats, face changers and musicians.

The lanterns are constructed on-site by a team of more than 20 artists from Tianyu Arts & Culture. If you have seen the James Bond movie Skyfall you saw several set pieces designed by Tianyu Arts & Culture for the movie. That's in addition to presenting lantern festivals around the world.

You'll be amazed at how delicate the lanterns are but still very sturdy at the same time. The festival will run from May 25th to July 1st every day but Monday. The festival is open from 5:30 pm to 10 pm Tuesday through Thursday, 5:30 pm to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 5:30 pm to 10 pm on Sundays.

Don't be hesitant about going, this really is an amazing show.
